Play it Loud

Play It Loud

Music for me is a visceral experience

I must feel it running through my veins

I must feel it tense my muscles

When I feel the music running strongly enough through my body,

only then do I feel my spirit lifted

It is only through the connection to my body

that I feel the spiritual experience of music

  1. yes, music invites to explore the mystery that’s dancing within the soul…

  3. Beautiful art and very beautifully expressed sentiments, I think we all crave from music to give us those soulful goosebumps!

Happy New year to you! ๐Ÿ˜€

  4. Beautifully said. Music is a physical as well as a soulful/spiritual thing. It’s alive. Great poem.

“only then do I feel my spirit lifted”
This is exactly how I review new music! By its ability to lift my spirit. Or to throw it against concrete wall. When I listen to the music, I switch off multi-tasking, just me wrapped in sound, with the booklet near for reference. And I don’t want to be too conservative, but I believe there’s a special circle of hell for the ones who invented digipacks ๐Ÿ˜€
