    thank you for visiting my blog…and I am definitely going to be viewing yours, especially since you have two cats who are also authors. I do not own a cat or have one for a pet either—as it just dawned on me—from my limited observations, cats “own”: their owners…LOL…SO, your cat liked
    ATLAS SHRUGGED??? That would be a great discussion—I found the author a very disappointing person…especially since our own Paul Ryan seems so taken up with her politics. In any case, I have returned the favor and am now following your blog and am looking forward to reading MORE of you!

      Thank you as well. You are correct the cats rule the household and never let us forget that the Egyptians once worshiped them and we should do the same.

      And as far as Atlas Shrugged goes…It is one of my favorites. Ayn Rand was not perfect, in fact she was very fallible as are all human beings…but that doesn’t take away from the book for me. And don’t get me started on people twisting and misusing words to support their own agenda. My dad did that all the time except it wasn’t Atlas Shrugged but the Bible he was quoting.

      Oh and by the way Hemingway was a drunk among a long list of other character flaws yet I still LOVE his work. Bing Crosby was rumored to be an abusive dad, yet I still love his voice and sing along to White Christmas every year. So I guess what I’m saying is sometimes we have to separate the person from their art.

      Anyway, I look forward to more discussions with you. It should be fun!

    Melanie, I am so glad you started your blog. It not only opens a channel for expressing your precious gifts, but it allows your viewers same opportunity through knowing your world. Your words stir my insides in the most meaningful way and i truly look forward everyday to follow your new expressions. This is the next best thing to sitting on a couch with you, drinking grandma’s freshly brewed tea and sharing what comes naturally. Don’t ever stop the flow of your running water. One day while you are watching the waves of your creation, you will see that your words had the power to part the green sea.       Thank you. It really is so nice to be embracing my word world again. I feel so much more at peace this last month than I have in ages. 🙂 Miss you and wish we were not so far away so we could actually sit down for a cup or tea or one of your wonderful Armenian coffees!

    I’m currently re-reading “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” after almost 30 years. So far, I am impressed with Kesey’s disordered narrative, though I think I will find the book as a whole a bit too political for my taste.

    The Fountainhead is my all-time favourite. So I’m thrilled to see Atlas Shrugged at the top of your list 🙂
    Also a super fan of Hemmingway (The Sun Also Rises) and Wilde (The Picture of Dorian Gray).

    A good choice. I suscribe to many. With a reservation for old Ernie. I just re-read one of his books, and I was not thrilled. But then it was a French translation of the 50’s. The language has aged. A lot. French. Maybe I should buy an original? ( I just realized all my Hemingways are in ‘Frog’. God forbid!)

      Well I have found rereading sometimes leaves you with a different feel all-together than when you first read things. I may have to rethink Hemingway myself as it has been a long time since i read him. Maybe a reread is in order.

        Most certainly. I do a lot of re-reading. Periodically I dive into my library and pick a series. I have Dumas on my mind. To re-read the three musqueteers, 20 years after and the Vicomte of Bragelonne… A lengthy task…
