kinda blue but naturally so
no real reason for sadness
nothing newsworthy, no new madness
just gonna give myself permission
to simmer in this somber disposition
maybe tomorrow will be a magenta kind of day

of mother’s neglect
she’s a patchwork girl
pieces stitched together by
vivid crimson thread
